Meet the Team
Ben Pedrazzini, CEO
Ten years ago, Entrepreneur Ben Pedrazzini joined forces with world-renowned Olympic Gold Medalist and Swim Coach, Laurie Lawrence, to establish dita Solutions.
Along with Steven Whyte, former Nine Network Head of IT, the company quickly progressed with automating business workflows, and has now grown to offer a wide range of solutions to help with digital transformation.
With over 30 years experience in running successful businesses, Ben is fully committed to providing the highest quality, and most advanced, Compliance Management System to the market. One of Ben’s greatest accomplishments with dita Solutions was creating dita Documents, which took a lot of time to build and test. He is very happy with the results, and enjoys seeing how much it helps dita’s clients.
Ben, and the dita Team, have built strong relationships with their clients, by looking at their business wants and needs, and completing these requirements with quality, ease and compliance.
Steven Whyte, Chief Operating Officer
Steven Whyte is the Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer (COO) of dita Solutions, and has over 25 years’ experience in the Television, Publishing and Internet industries.
He was previously Head of IT for Channel 9 Entertainment Co., which saw him delivering large IT projects, such as the 2006 Melbourne XVIII Commonwealth Games, 2010 Vancouver XXI Olympic Winter Games, and the 2012 London XXX Summer Games.
He’s passionate about helping organisations streamline and simplifying their workflow processes, and he really enjoys how dita Solutions can help deliver successful outcomes for our clients. One of Steve’s favourite projects has been dita Learning, which helps his clients manage training and compliance online in one system.
In his spare time, he loves taking long walks whilst listening to podcasts, and his favorite podcast right now is ‘Masters of Scale’ with Reid Hoffman.
He’s currently working on the next generation of dita products and is excited to share these over the coming months.
Laurie Lawrence, Director
Ten years ago, world-renowned Olympic Gold Medalist and Swim Coach, Laurie Lawrence, formed a partnership with Swim Student, and World Wide Swim School Manager, Ben Pedrazzini, and Channel Nine’s Steve Whyte, to establish dita Solutions.
Laurie’s philosophies are the product of more than 50 years of successful swim techniques and coaching achievements. This includes 10 gold, 11 silver and 12 bronze medals from swimmers he assisted at Olympic level. As a result, the Australian Olympic Committee make Laurie an integral part of the Australian team at all Olympic Games between 1996 and 2012.
Laurie is best known for:
- Sharing more than 50 years of successful swimming techniques, that have taken swimmers from beginners to Olympians and Olympic Medalists
- Educating parents on successful swimming teaching techniques which are used to teach babies and children
- Providing quality resources for swim teachers, coaches and swim schools
- Contributing to quality swimming teaching around the world

Mark Skinner, Customer Service
Mark Skinner has worked for dita Solutions since it existed, being one of the founding members. He was originally a technician for Telecom Australia for 18 years and then started his own company, providing telephone, IT, and data services to the Nine Network, 7 Network, and ABC TV and Radio.
In his spare time, Mark likes to listen to good music and watch movies with his wife Gabrielle, and they’re slowly working on renovating their home.
He is most looking forward to the completion and release of new dita apps this year. He says these will give dita customers the ability to easily create, manage and maintain their own content, especially when it is of a sensitive or proprietary nature.
Mark is very proud of the completion of the recent project of dita Forms, which eradicates the need for loose paper record-keeping. He enjoys working with dita clients on this platform, as it’s so easy to use and understand.
Michelle Alesana, Account Executive
Michelle Alesana has been part of the dita Solutions Team since September 2019 as the Account Executive. She has enjoyed every second at dita, and loves working with the people on the Team as they are all so dedicated to the success of both dita Solutions AND our clients.
Michelle has worked in the telecommunications and tech industry for companies like BlackBerry, Nokia, and Microsoft, and is a wonderful mum to Katie-Scarlett. In her spare time, Michelle loves to cook loads of delicious new dishes, and sew with her daughter.
When she was presented with the opportunity to join dita, she was enthusiastic about moving into the SaaS space, and especially working with software which contributes to such a wide range of businesses.
Michelle is excited about the new products that are coming up this year, which she says are all game changers for how our clients can use the system.
Dean Kornmann, Software Developer
Dean Kornmann has been working for dita Solutions for nearly 10 years, as the Software Developer. He has been in this industry since 2007 and enjoys the ever-evolving nature of the role. There have been many changes with the company since Dean first started and he has enjoyed evolving with the business and Team.
In his spare time, Dean enjoys meeting up with friends and family, as well as travelling as much as he can, when it’s safe to do so!
One particular product which Dean is especially proud of is dita Contractor, which helps your company to meet a legislative duty of care when using contractors. Dean is excited about working on a range of new products with the team and is looking forward to their rollouts all through the year.

Katie McCaffery, Digital Marketing Coordinator
Katie joined dita Solutions at the start of 2021, as the Digital Marketing Coordinator. Her career background, includes Journalism, Sales & Marketing and Business Development. Katie has loved working at dita Solutions so far, and has found the Team to be so friendly, dedicated to their work and very easy to get along with.
Research, writing and analytics are Katie’s passion, and these skills are sure to contribute to dita Solutions’ already successful platform.
She has recently moved into her first home with her partner Jonathan, and their two fur kids, Bruce and Gigi, and enjoys walking with them along the waterfront every day. Another favorite pastime of hers is to peruse the local area for great coffee shops and dinner spots.
Matthew Gilpin, Junior Software Developer
Matthew Gilpin started working for dita Solutions, as a Junior Software Developer, in August of 2019, after finding the company through his connections – and he has enjoyed every minute so far, namely the collaborative environment of the company.
He is currently an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Student at UQ, and whilst his career is only really gaining speed, he has a great passion for all things electronic and technology.
In his spare time, he is typically working on a coding/electronics project, or playing the odd video game from time to time – did we mention he loves technology?
Matt has loved working on all projects for dita Solutions, but his all time favourite one so far has been dita Visitor, which streamlines your front desk procedures with a secure Visitor Management platform. He says, the most interesting aspect of dita’s future, which he is looking forward to is, not only the expansion of the team, but also the development of new upcoming products.
George Mihnea, Junior Software Developer
George has recently started working for dita Solutions, as our second Junior Software Developer. He is currently a third-year Software Engineering student at UQ. He was also a Teaching Assistant at the University, for a second-year course during the first half of 2021.
In his spare time, he enjoys skiing and tries to go every year, either during the Wintertime here in Australia, or to Europe or Japan, during their Summer, when travel is allowed. In his spare time, he likes to play basketball, video games or program his own projects.
So far, he has enjoyed working at dita Solutions, as the projects align with his own interests. The friendly and welcoming nature of the Team has also made coming to work very enjoyable for him.
George is currently working on a chatapp, and is looking forward to how he will progress with getting it up and running, as he has not programmed something like this before. He is very excited to learn new concepts, whilst also creating useful programs.

Natalie Hong, Junior Software Developer
Natalie started working for dita Solutions in July 2021, and is a 4th year Undergraduate student at UQ. She is studying Software Engineer with integrated Honors.
During the Summer of 2021, Natalie interned at Canva as a Frontend Software Engineer.
She enjoys programming, gaming and drawing in her spare time, and likes to think of herself as a creative person. She also recently opened her own Etsy store.
The thing she loves most about dita Solutions is how friendly and cooperative everyone is. She also likes how much creative direction she has when creating designs.
Natalie is very much looking forward to seeing how her current project of designing a catalog will turn out.
Susan Carter, General Manager for World Wide Swim School
Susan Carter joined dita Solution’s partner company, World Wide Swim School, nearly 3 years ago, having known Laurie and Ben for over 10 years in her role at AUSTSWIM National. She started in the aquatics industry as a Swim Teacher whist at university. She has an expansive career in the aquatics industry, starting at Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV), managing the VICSWIM ‘Learn to Swim’ Program, and AUSTSWIM Victoria, before joining AUSTSWIM National in a General Manager role.
Susan has 2 teenage boys, who help to keep her active. She enjoys running, swimming, mountain bike riding, camping, getting out in the garden and cooking. She has a full house of 2 dogs and 9 chickens, and also recently travelled to Tasmania as a pillion on a motor bike.
She loves working with Laurie, Ben, Steve, and the whole Team, as they have a great passion for what they do. She says the saying ‘if you choose a job your love, you will never work a day in your life’ is so true.
Over the last 12 months, WWSS have accomplished many things, including a partnership with ERR and Child Safeguard, which provides more opportunities for education in the aquatic industry. The next 12 months will see a further expansion to WWSS’s platform functionality, and content development to provide greater support.
Vickie Barron, Customer Service Coordinator for World Wide Swim School
Vickie has been part of the WWSS Team since February, 2021, as the Customer Service Coordinator. An opportunity presented itself to come onboard, which she was very excited to accept. She loves working with her new team members, and feels very supported in her new role.
She previously worked as a Swim Teacher for Laurie since 2010. She was also a part of WWSS’s Professional Development Training Hub, so she has a very passionate attitude to training & development, including personal growth benefits.
Vickie is married with two girls, aged 24 and 18 years old. She has been practicing hot yoga, and Vinyasa yoga, for 11 years, as it helps her to keep a more present and balanced lifestyle, both at work and home.
Vickie is very passionate about how WWSS can help transform Swim Schools and their teacher’s skills. She is looking forward to building strong relationships with her Swim Schools, as well as becoming the biggest online swim school training platform in the world.
